One Saturday Morning was a block on ABC that was shown every Saturday from 7:00a to 12:00p. It is considered to be the last true Saturday morning block. It ran from 1997 to 2002. An afterschool block known as "One Too" was created late into the block's existence. A few years later, the block was renamed ABC Kids and was completely redone with new shows, thus ending the last true Saturday morning block. ABC Kids was ended in 2011.

The opening segment as well as the hub of the block were done in a retrofuturistic style.

The theme song begins as an old-time country song, with the theme changing to a pop song in the final verse.

Theme SongEdit

Monday mornin', wake up time
get to work and stand in line
what would make you feel real fine?
One Saturday Morning!
Coming up next, it's Tuesday's grind.
The week is young, but I'm out of my mind
what would make you feel real fine?
Wednesday, Thursday
jammed in the middle
Once again, makes you pose a riddle
What's strung real loose, but plays like a fiddle?
One Saturday Morning!
Friday has an exit sign,
but getting there still takes some time
What would make you feel real fine?!
One Saturday Morning!
5 hours of Summer once a week!
One Saturday Morning!
Yeah! Five hours of summer is what we need!
One Saturday Moorning!
5 hours of summer once a week!
One Saturday Morning! (Whoa-Oh!)
5 hours of summer!
One Saturday Morning!

  • Flyndiggery Do- a parody of the Crocodile Hunter, Flyndiggery Do stars "Alastair Flyndiggery" and hs co-host "Vanessa" (played by the same actor). Alastair would give a brief description of the featured animal for that episode, and then "has a gander", only to discover that the animal has disappeared. The episode would then end with a picture of the animal.
